CISA to Close Out 2026 Season with Co-Ed Wood Bat Tournament

As another summer of softball in Calgary winds down, the Calgary Industrial Softball Association (CISA) is giving players one more reason to get back on the diamond.
CISA is excited to host its End-of-Season Co-Ed Wood Bat Slo-Pitch Tournament, running September 18–20, 2026, at Crawford’s Fields in Calgary.
The three-day Mixed Open tournament puts a different spin on the traditional slo-pitch game by trading in composite bats for wood, bringing timing, placement and old-school hitting back into the spotlight.
Whether you're putting together a team of league regulars, friends, coworkers or a combination of all three, the tournament is designed to send off the 2026 outdoor season with a competitive but fun weekend at the ballpark.

Wood Bats. Big Swings. One More Weekend.
Wood-bat softball brings an entirely different feel to the game. Sweet spots get smaller, bat control becomes more important and there's nothing quite like the sound of a ball squared up off a wooden barrel.
And for those who still plan on swinging for the fences, you'll have your chance.
The weekend will also feature a Home Run Derby, giving some of Calgary's biggest hitters an opportunity to step into the box and see who can provide the most power with lumber in their hands.
Add cash prizes to the mix and there will be plenty to play for throughout the weekend.
Finish the Season at the Ballpark
The tournament is an opportunity to bring together players from throughout Calgary's softball community for one final weekend before the diamonds are put to bed for another winter.
